Sportsnet, Turkey’s largest sports agency, established a specialist sports TV channel in 2007 in partnership with Kanal D under the name of “Kanal D Sport”. And they chose us to design their visual branding.
Two years later, Sportsnet split with Kanal D group and started its own channel, SPORTS TV. Once again, they chose us to create their visual identity.
We looked at Sportsnet Group’s existing ‘red ball’ identity and let it influence our thinking. The result incorporates a new red ball with the letter S for ‘Sports’. But it’s the interaction between the two that gives the identity so much breadth – such as the ball striking the S to trigger other contents.
We feel that the vibrancy of the logo and the animations it creates reflect the dynamism of the channel.
